Ahh, can't say I've seen that...lol

As they only give a few extra points I didn't think they'd go for much

I do think people need to enjoy the game for more than just the how-much-money-can-I-make reason. I mean, we do that in real life enough surely. RL is all about grind for money to live, games should be enjoyed for more than that. Just makes me sad when all people seem to want to do these days is sell, sell, sell to make gold

They're not going for a ton, about 1.5-3k for five was the last I saw. :P

I agree with you, though. I'm not selling mine. It's kind of fun to have a little festivity every time I go to the GH.

I think that the gift really suits the occasion - assembling the feast is (ideally) about cooperation, people who work to get all the ingredients in order to share the rewards with everyone. So it's great that the gift that everyone gets in return is something to share, to make a group event a little bit more festive.

I think it's a pretty well thought-out and elegant finale.

I love them so much, im working on my 3rd stack, alot of players took alot of my plat this weekend.
I was real disapointed with the fireworks from the discount merchant..this makes up for it. Its like beating a campaign, right in your guild hall.
Now we can throw parties, have weddings, celibrate important milestones.
Who wouldnt like fireworks?
Now if we could only work on setting them off in towns, missions, durring HA after rank spiking the enemy..everything would we totally awesome.

That'll be me as well. Over 2.5 years playing, never needed a guild hall - just meet up with guildies in whichever town/mission outpost. I might go get a GH now and gather what's left of my diminishing guild for a firework display.

I have to say the firework crates are beautiful and fantastic. My guild has the Isle of Weeping Stone, and the fireworks are beautiful against the dark background of the cathedral and trees. I've stashed up, from our events and what guildies have given me and they'll be getting used for guild events to give it that extra special touch. Would have been nice to set them off in a district of a town for special events, but just having them in the guild hall is a real pleasure.

My thoughts exactly! Personally I thought this event was a blast, in fact I love all the events, differently decorated towns, for once actually having a large portion of the player base come together and actually socialize for a little while, and fun free items. I just don't get why so many seem to hate on everything about them so much.

Idk, but it seems to me that a lot of people here are spoiled. I think they forget that Anet dosen't have to give us any of these events and free content. Anet gets no profit when they add festivals, redecorated towns, new hats, minis, and items. They had to devote some people to doing that, all the art on the hats, minis, and towns, all the programming to put it in, entire quest lines, new NPCs, etc. They do all this for us because they truly do care about their community, now idk about you but I think the amount of free content like this we get is pretty amazing considering we don't have to pay any monthly fees or really any fees at all.

Just please don't flame somone for enjoying something you didn't, it's just rather immature and rude.

Was nice to see something different instead of the standard stuff. I would enjoy seeing them at least in towns/outposts, but am good with just the hall. I couldnt figure out the 1st time I saw one go off in my hall, I gave away some glacial stones to an alliance mate and they shot it off, i was totally confused as to wtf was going on with all the fireworks. Was pretty cool in my Isle of Dead hall
